Venezuelan cable system INTERCABLE S.A. owned by Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst which is involved in a strong expansion in Venezuela, hired COAX for the design/engineering of its network in Caracas.

Starting 1995 in Barquisimeto, a city of the interior of the country, and after six years INTERCABLE is now providing services to 44 Venezuelan cities and is preparing its launch in the capital city, with a 870 Mhz hybrid fiber coax (HFC) architecture, with sub nodes of 400 homes and underground construction, prepared for cable TV, telephony and cable modem services.
