Expansion to new markets

COAX CONSULTORA expanded its operations by venturing into the Brazilian market. Through its very first deals in this marketplace COAX was able to identify business opportunities which had not been exploited until its landing in Brazil.

With a truly pioneer initiative, COAX’s teams availed of the opportunities offered by the Brazilian telecommunications legislation to develop business niches in an enormous but scarcely developed market. The Company thus secured a sound positioning in Brasilia and other districts of Brazil, such as the cities of Uberlandia and Piracicaba. Currently COAX is developing projects in the cities of Natal, Maceió and Joao Pessoa.

By designing and building state-of-the-art networks, COAX established systems in Brazil, some already transferred to new owners, with more than 3,000 kilometers covering areas that reach over 400,000 homes.

Brasilia

In 1994, COAX developed in the capital city of Brazil, the first Cable Television System with Fiber Optic Technology in Latin America. A Fiber to the Serving Area (FSA) architecture was used, this hybrid fiber coax network was fully developed under ground sharing the ducts with the power company. In this way a 200 kilometer network covering 51,000 homes was built and managed.

In 1996, COAX entered into a market development agreement at risk with the main Brazilian operator to provide pay television services in these suburbs of Brazil's capital city, Brasilia.

According to the licensee's engineering requirements, COAX designed, built and funded a 300 km fiber optic network, with optical link from the head end, and furnishing the network with new hybrid technology (HFC) in 750 Mhz, with nodes of 2,000 homes and sub nodes of 500 homes. www.popwatch.org www.luxreplicas.com

Moreover, COAX managed the service for 18 months since its launching, achieving by the end of this term an average penetration of 30.4%.

Maceió, Natal y Joao Pessoa

COAX is still actively involved in the development of Cable Television in Brazil, through "turn key" construction and management agreements in these three capital cities of the northeast area.

COAX has designed and built for these systems networks of 1,500 km with HFC architecture, subnodes of 400 homes passed and 750 MHz technology, prepared for any kind of broadband integrated services.

While managing the three operations COAX’s efficient planning has enabled the systems to meet the terms foreseen in the on time and to begin with the sale of the services with high levels of market penetrations.best replica watches
